Pixar's CARS er... HUMANS

I was bored one day so I figured I'd watch a movie. Cars 2. I thought it was pretty good. Feeling interested, I searched up artwork done of the Cars characters. At one point, I wanted to see if anyone drew human characters of the cars characters.

I... uh... well I wasn't exactly impressed. It's not that difficult to humanize something. Just take identifying aspects and use that as a base for your character. Then modify to whatever you think fits that character best. Now let's be serious, there are many stereotypes in the cars universe. And quite frankly, that's what you need to appeal to to get that comfortable vibe from the characters.

Most human versions of Mater made him handsome... nuh uh. Mater is just an average tow truck driver with crooked teeth, if not a little tubby (due to his voice actor Larry The cable Guy). I took those and few other defining traits and made a mater I felt suited best.

Lightening McQueen is a "pretty boy", that's for sure. He's blonde in this pic due to his voice actor, Owen Wilson. Seeing as he is also a racer, he will be wearing some form of Racing gear and/or outfit to coincide with his car. (Hee hee, get it? Car? ... I won't quit my day job...)

Luigi. He's by far my favourite Cars character. Maybe because he appeals to my Italian side, or maybe it's just that he's a hilarious guy. I gave him a small mustache due to his car having a "mustache". He wears a hat similar to the roof of his car persona. Due to his yellow and brown colours I decided a brown sweater vest, beige dress pants and a yellow dress shirt did best. Since his car is small and a little chunky, he's a little chunky... and short.

I had fun drawing Guido. I just wanted to give him that " I OWN YOU WITH PIT STOP" face he had in the first movie. Since he;s also quite small... he's much smaller than Luigi! So he practically looks like a little person. Not to mention he is quite young, in his 20's. He wears a hat similar to his forklift persona, to show I'm not "forking" around.. And sports a drill reminiscent to his titular job at Luigi's Wheels Emporium. Since I see him as an employee, he's have some kind of vest on him and sport some funky dress pants and shirt to fit his Italian heritage.


See? Not as hard as it looks.

This probably gonna be my only sheet of human cars characters. But if I'm supported enough, I might make a couple more sheets for the main cast...
